This is a podcast about place, exploring remote myths and legends of the land in her podcast Horizons. As bookbinder and printmaker, the series transcribes my various artist books, adding behind-the-scenes insight, commentary and background into my experiences and creative practice. The series addresses the anxieties, fears and doubts of being alone, in unfamiliar places and the need to adapt to new contexts and surroundings. But as with each journey of discovery, there is personal growth, understanding and admiration in gaining new perspective.

This project was awarded the Canadian Council for the Arts Digital Originals Innovation Grant, in its aims to champion accessibility of the arts across all ages and audiences. Episodes read as excerpts in a story, functioning as an audio book that incorporates themes of art history, photography, printmaking, site specificity, humour and hope. It is structured to provide solace and escapism globally in a time of lockdown.
